"ENTRY LEVEL"
Grocery store tours conducted at either grocery stores (independent or chains) or Farmers markets. Led by dietetic interns, supervised by registered dietitians.
"A STEP FURTHER"
Grocery Store Tours (GST) combined with Fitness program
I am proud to serve as my community lead in partnering with the national group, Walk with A Doc. We usually organize a short walk, city, neighborhood or trail, leading to the Grocery store or Farmers market.
"THE WHOLE PACKAGE"
All the above combined with bio-metric measurements of blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI's performed by medical students with attending physicians serving as mentor supervisors.
Kids Elementary School Nutrition Teaching
A five week , one hour nutrition class taught by dietetic interns under within the Michigan model curriculum in elementary schools culminating in our "whole package" field trip for student , parents and teachers which combines all three elements above!.
